Took the wife to see Les Miserables. It was very Heavy and Dark. Since it was a musical where most lines were sung, it may not appeal to the masses since it is not a sing along. It is one of my favorites and I loved it.
I am just relaxing as much as I can until I start work again on Monday. With Tuesday being a holiday, I may relax until I have to travel again.
I am planning on doing my workout this evening. Should have plenty of time during the halftime of one of the football games I am watching.
OK, I mentioned football. I am a big Green Bay Packers fan. I am currently watching the Bears beat up on the Lions. The big game is the Packers vs. the Vikings. A Packer win will keep me happy all next week. Hey, it is the Northern division and you never know.

Hope everyone had as good a Christmas as I did. The diet took a big hit as I was a very bad boy. I am back on the road for the end of this week but will be home all of next week.
Got back on track with the diet last night. When I get home I will start the exercise regime back up again. The good news is that my belt is still at the third hole and did not have to move to the second.
Lunch was a patty melt and yes I ate the rye bread. Dinner was even worse. Went to a new place for me, Pancake City. Great menu, reasonalbe prices. Went for the eggs and Chicken Fried Steak and am paying for it this morning. I am so bloated and my guts are complaining. Hope I learn my lesson.
Last night I took my oldest to see the Hobbit in 3D. I think they did a wonderful job but my daughter thought it was just OK. I could have done without the 3D, my eyes were watering halfway through the movie. My bro-in-law has the Lord of the Ring Trilogy so I may borrow it for my daughters amusement next week.
I have no plans for New Years' Eve and that is all right. Going to bed early and relaxing New Year's Day is my plan. We will see what the wife have in store for me.
Other than diet and exercise, I find that relaxation (including sleep) has added more enjoyment to my life. I spend a lot of my free time reading or listening to books on tape. By skipping television, I have more free time on my hands than I know what to do with. A good book on tape loaded onto my iPod can help me keep busy while shopping, walking, etc.
Current book I am reading is Eye Yoga. Current book on tape is Towers of Midnight. You can track my reading on Goodreads.com. Look for me, Kenn Anderson, and become my friend.

This will be my last blog until after Christmas, so Merry Christmas everyone.
I have decided that if I run out of good food to eat, I will head out and get me some. Seems that when I eat all the real food in the house, I then turn to the carbage. Two issues that I am going to address. First, how come I can clean all the real food out of the house in a weekend and secondly, why don't I stock up on good stuff? It will be an interesting two weeks at home.
Working out at home will be a new adventure. Our workout room is in the basement and is not setup for pushups or situps, just not enough room. I'll have to do those in the bedroom and save the curls and squats to the basement. My wife uses the treadmill and recline bike which take up all the space. I don't believe in cardio exercise but she does. Hopefully one day she will come around.

A light workout last night left my arm muscles a little tired, but not sore. Depending on the weather, I may go out to eat tonight and let my body recover a little.
The next two weeks I will be at home and will try to keep to my diet with the exception of Christmas Eve for a traditional dinner of pasta.
My exercise will be hit or miss. If I feel like it, it will be done. If not, I will just keep busy getting things ready or cleaning up. Either way, I feel I will win.

Man, my arms are so sore from my workout last night. Not going to let up this evening.
Breakfast was my two eggs and bacon and lunch was a taco salad. I think this evening will be me snacking on pork rinds and guacamole.
I was able to cinch my belt up to the forth notch for the first time since I bought this belt. Too tight to keep it there, but I had better check my measurements. Feeling good, very positive.

Feeling a little bloated today. Earlier this week I would have bet money that I had dropped a couple of pounds. Today, I feel as if I did not drop any weight this week. My dinner last night may be haunting me today.
Breakfast was a quick sausage patty and a breve. I was only a little hungry at lunch so I had a shrimp salad again and am well satisfied. Dinner will be salad and brats at the hotel.
My muscles still feel my last workout. Tonight's workout will be touch and go. I do not want to be really sore for the drive home tomorrow. We will see.

Enjoying 12/12/12
Today I will be traveling between plants. I had a quick breakfast of sausage patties and a breve. This should keep me full enough I will not be hungry at lunchtime. If I am hungry, I'll have to wait until I get to the plant as there are no decent size town between.
I am feeling a little sore from my workout last night. I am getting stronger and am able to do more reps than in the past so my muscles are getting a better workout. I may have to go to every other day or follow the rules and work out every 5th day only.
I stopped at Applebees for lunch and had an amazing salad. The Grilled Shrimp and Spinach Salad was great. I only got the half order and it was enough.
I treated myself to a nice steak dinner at Texas Roadhouse; nice fillet covered with mushrooms and shrimp. Going to relax and hot tub it tonight.

Fail for my breakfast plans. The hotel I am staying at did not get their breakfast meat (sausage) out until after I had to get going. My plan was to eat breakfast at the hotel. I usually eat breakfast at a restaurant as hotel food is unchanging. My travel time to work is one hour so eating at the hotel would allow me more flexibility on my timing. In short, I had a breve at Starbucks.
The plant I am at today is having their Christmas Dinner. From what I have heard, it is not very good and the menu is not very appealing for me or LCHF. I am hungry enough for lunch do to the breakfast fail I mentioned above. Need to plan on a salad of some kind to start.
Lunch was a Caesar salad that was too big for me. Yes I left some on the plate. The diet is going well, but I need to pick up some water to keep me hydrated. Starting to look a mineral or sparkling water now that even diet soda is getting too sweet for me. They come in glass bottles so no so called issues with plastic.
I treated myself for dinner, chili cheese dogs with black olives and a Caesar salad. Washed it all down with some Perrier. A good workout and a nice long dip in the hot tub. I am read for bed.

Had a great breakfast with the wife at Summer Kitchen. My big omelet kept me full until dinner. My room at the hotel has a full kitchen. I had a Cesar salad and two brats.
After a full workout, I'll hit the hot tub. I will spend most of the night watching Monday Night Football and then get some shuteye.

My workout last night must have done some good. My arms and legs are feeling it. Need to work on my belly though. Will have to consult my training book when I get home to ensure that I am performing the exercises correctly.
Breakfast was my reduced two eggs and bacon. The satisfied feeling was all I needed to confirm it was the right choice.
By lunch I was slightly hungry so I had a Cesar salad. Not much, but it did the trick.
Dinner was a steamers bag of broccoli and cheese. It was pretty good; could have been cooked a little longer. Finished the rest of my cheesecake and was plenty full.
No exercise so I could heal up. Muscles in my arm were a little sore. A nice long soak in the hotel hot tub did me a world of good.

Good breakfast that left me only slightly hungry at lunchtime. I had a Caesar salad and am doing pretty good at 4:30pm. I was planning on going out to eat tonight. My boss is in town and I may be able to get him to buy.
Buy dinner he certainly did. Hot wings followed by Prime Rib. I was able to squeeze a side salad with Blue Cheese dressing in between courses. I admit I over did it on protein, but it was so good.
My exercise program was just the dumbbell work and sit ups. I do not get much exercising done while at home. The wife and I do get a chance to go for a walk in the mornings, but that is about it. I use the time at home for relaxation and let the body mend from my workouts during the week.

After a very good workout last night, I took a nice long dip in the hot tub. Must be doing something right; my belt is almost one notch tighter this morning. Another positive is that my ketones are back. Test strip is slightly pink. May be diluted a bit from all the water I have been drinking.
Instead of my regular breakfast, I just had eggs and bacon. I was satisfied without the sausage and depending on how lunch goes, I may change my standard breakfast to just two eggs and bacon.
Went to lunch with a college and had a bun less burger and a side salad and didn't finish everything. I had breakfast for dinner and relaxed the rest of the evening.
As an overdue promise, I have posted my stat graph.

It was a long weekend. We were running all over the place. My food choices went pretty well and I was down to 186.6 on Saturday Morning. Sunday we drove 3 hours to a family Christmas dinner. Since I knew that I had been doing well on my food choices, I purposely allowed myself to have some pie. The sugar rush was noticeable, but the crash did not hit me as bad as I expected.
Today, I am tire and have a little rumbly in my tummy. I will head to the hotel early today and take a nap.
I made sure I had a good breakfast so I was able to skip lunch. Depending on how I feel when I wake up, I may or may not have any dinner. Will pick up a case of bottled water whatever choices I make.

Great breakfast of ham and cheese omelet with bacon. Forgot to stop when I was full. Cleaned the plate and was disappointed in myself all day.
Lunch was a taco salad again. Have been drinking lots of water and felling pretty good.
Dinner was at Red Lobster. Pretty good eats, but they forgot to bring me my salad.
Good news, my ketone strips are purple. Workout tonight will only be arm and situps.

Breakfast was at a very nice restaurant called 87 Diner. For some reason they are closed on Tuesdays so I missed out yesterday. Pretty good coffee to go with my sausage omelet and bacon. Probably ate more that I should have. This is an area for improvement: stop eating when full.
Lunch was a taco salad. My wisdom to share with you is: If you order without the shell, they will give you more food to make up for it. I just don't eat the shell and am satisfied. I know it is a waste to throw away the shell, but I would throw away the leftover salad anyway.
Dinner was ham and green beans. The steamer type veggies are great. I can pop a bag into the microwave in my room. I was able to complete my exercise program now that my neck is movable. There is still some soreness, but it does not hinder me very much now.
My favorite treat is too mix Diet Swiss Miss in my coffee (decaf in the evenings). It is outstanding. I picked up a couple boxes just for my travels. They were on sale!!

Surprisingly I was not very hungry this morning. Considering that I had no lunch or dinner the previous day, I consider that surprising. I went to a restaurant I consider to have a great breakfast, but they were closed. I will have to find out what time they open. I was there around 6:30am. I don't understand why they would not be open at that time. Also, the coffee shop that I used to stop at had not been open any time I have driven by in the last 5 weeks. I guess it is out of business.
Lunch was provided in the factory today. Usually I am disappointed in what is available for me to eat. It was not as bad as it usually is. They have two veggie salads (cucumber/tomato w/feta cheese and broccoli salad). The sub sandwiches were just fine after discarding the bread. All in all, I ate my fill and have no guilt.
Dinner was a simple bag of Caesar salad with some of my low carb cheese cake for desert. I brought the cheese cake with me so I would eat it throughout the week rather than during the weekend when I get home.
No workout due to my stiff neck. Woke up Monday and could barley move it. It has loosened up quite a bit so that tonight should include a good workout. Wednesday is usually my time to go out for a great dinner, but I want to get the workout done. Tomorrow night will be the great dinner I promised myself every week.

The Thanksgiving holiday is over and I know I added a few pounds. Back on the road again.
Had a great breakfast which kept me full all day. Going to bed and haven't had the urge to eat. That will change tomorrow morning.
No exercise today. I have a very sore neck from sleeping on it wrong. Tomorrow is another day.

Waiting on the family to arrive for Thanksgiving. I'll be on my best behavior food wise. I have plenty of Atkins and Qwest bars to tied me over and plenty of water to drink. Wish me luck. When football starts on Thursday, I'll add a few beers to the mix. Have to as it is almost law.
This morning I was down to 187+ lbs and I am one hole tighter on my belt.
Happy Thanksgiving to all. My next post should be after Thanksgiving.

After enjoying a great Mexican lunch of fajitas, I toughed it out at work. Dinner was leftovers and the rest of the nuts I had purchased. I did not drink as much water as planned, but today will hit the target. My keytone strips are showing medium keytones rather than high that I had been seeing earlier this week. This is due to increasing the amount of protein and consequently lowering the amount of non-starchy vegetables. Yes this was done on purpose to see how my body would react, a n=1 experiment.
Since I protein load for breakfast, the need for protein at lunch is minimal. When there is very little choice of places to eat, I have to be very careful/selective of where and what I eat. My n=1 is helping determine my upper limit of protein. For dinner I prefer to snack and after exercising protein is a must. What I am concluding is that I need if I load up on protein for breakfast, I do not need much for lunch. The rest of the day I need to look for snacks that have a good fat-protein balance.
Goals: eat slow, stop when full. When I achieve both goals, I do very well. When I do not, I have issues with bloating, weariness, and/or digestive issues. How many of us know what we need to do and still do not do it? I will focus on these two goals until they are engrained in my life. Until then, my n=1 studies should be few and far between.

A very mild Tuesday
Just kickin' back an enjoying the day. I had no appetite last night so I just snacked on nuts and drank my water. I have been using Keytone strips to monitor my ketoisis and the strips have all been dark purple. The darker the color, the more keytones I am producing.
During weight loss, the excess keytones are expelled from the body. I know that some say that monitoring keytones using the urine strips is like monitoring your diet by looking at what you throw away in the garbage, but I am too cheap to get the blood keytone strips. I also can't stand the finger prick required to get the blood sample. Sunday I gave blood and the worst part is the finger stick. Call me a wimp, but until I have a need for the accuracy, I'll use the after the fact strips.
Took the night off from exercising. I felt the need for recovery. I will hit it extra hard tonight. I usually go out to eat one night a week, but if I don't feel hungry, I will get some snacks to munch on.
Got my protein fix in this morning and I am planning on a salad for lunch. I wish that the place I am staying at was in a better play for walking. Even though it is colder out, I like to take a short walk in the evenings. Gives me something to do. This place is on the highway and it is dark by the time I am done with work. If I feel the need, I guess I could use the treadmill.
Well, that's it for today.

Monday Recap
It was a strange night last night. I was not at all hungry, but I ate my salad knowing that I would be hungry later. Sure enough, around 9:00pm I was hungry. My bedtime snack of choice is nuts, almonds or cashews. Last night I had both with a bottle of water. It had been many weeks since I was hungry that late at night. I have been reflecting on what I have done differently and I have not come up with a single thing that would change my eating pattern. I will chalk this up to natural variation of a human being.
My water consumption is holding steady at around 3 liters per day, not including what my food intake would add. Typically a .5 liter bottle in the am, 2 at lunch, 1 in the afternoon, and 2 in the evening. I have not noticed any difference in my body, but I haven't been drinking any diet soda which is a good thing.
My exercised went well last night. I did not realize that the hotel removed the dumbbells from the exercise room. I will start using my own weights when I find them at home. One more thing to haul around with me.
A positive for taking my fiber regularly. I have a spoonful in the morning and one in the evening. It is easy to keep on schedule when I am on the road, but not when at home. This weekend, I made a conscious effort to keep on schedule. I have been able to do my business with almost no effort and am very efficient at it. Enough said.
At my favorite local cafe, I had my regular eggs, bacon, and sausage. It will keep me full enough that I am not hungry at lunch. I need to get some bars that I can munch on during the afternoon otherwise I am famished when I get back to the hotel.
My menu has been high protein and fat in the morning, low starch veggies with a little protein for lunch, and low starch veggies with a little protein for dinner. Two things I have been trying to do when I eat is to stop when I am full and slow down when I eat. If I am not hungry, I need to realize that it is OK not to eat just because the clock says I have to. Then I need to have some snack(s) available when I do get a little hungry. Just keep telling my self it is a journey, not a destination.
Meanwhile, with all that said, I still take my supplements every morning. I take a over 50 multi-vitamin as a catchall for nutrients that I might miss. I take krill oil to get the omega 3 fat, vitamin D for multiple reasons. Melatonin more for the antioxidant properties, and magnesium for my brain. The multi-vitamin had the 100% RDA of magnesium, but a little extra is not causing loose stool. And the RDA is as far as I can tell, a "best guess" at what the body needs.

Weedend Update
OK, I tried the 2 recipes as promised. The blueberry muffins turned out dry and tasteless. I have leftover almond flour so I will try it again sometime with more sweetener and more water. The bread was a complete disaster. Not having coconut butter and using regular butter may have been a mistake. Don't know if I will try that one again.
All in all, it was a pretty good weekend. No exercise so it was all recovery. Did very good on my eating. Only ate when I was hungry and didn't wolf it down like I normally do. Getting the weight back on track as well as the measurements. Added calf measurement. If I'm in a good mood, I'll add the measurements again.

Back to Subway for a salad for lunch. Dinner will be salad as well.
Starting my exercising again. Will look into getting a dumbbell to work on the biceps and triceps.

I ate my last two servings of chili last night before I realizes that they were loaded with beans. More carbs than I was planning on. My keytone strips still show that there is some ketoisis going on, but not as strong as before. Hey, even a little is good.
I took my measurements and updated the graph, but as the Internet connection is less than optimal (way less), I could not post nor email it to my work. I'll be able to add weight tomorrow and add it to the blog.
Drove the North 65 Cafe for breakfast again this morning. It may be a 20 mile drive, but it beats the only option were I am staying. Again the 3 egg country omelet was great.
Now that it is Friday, I will be driving home. Lunch will depend on if I am hungry or not. Could be a restaurant. Could be Starbucks. We will have to wait and see.
Saturday is going to most likely be our last warm day. The family was hoping to have a bonfire that evening, but it looks as if Mother Nature has other ideas (rain).
Goal this weekend: To continue LCHF, try bread and blueberry muffin recipes, no Slow Burn (recovery time).

A busy day at work made the time fly. My boss took me to lunch at the country club were I had a blackened tuna salad with blue cheese dressing. It is about the only thing I get when eating there. The term country club may be misleading to some. It is a small town golf course with a restaurant. Good food that is high priced.
When I got back to the hotel, I took a walk to Wal Mart which is about 5 blocks away. Picked up some Atkin bars. When I returned to my room, I heated up some chili and a string cheese for dessert. After that I spent my evening reading and doing my Slow Burn workout. The sit ups are what I feel the most. I feel like I have lost more weight this week. I'll try to remember to update my measurements and post tomorrow. We'll see (as LOML says).
I picked up some keytone strips and they are dark purple. No surprise as my carb intake is somewhere South of 20grams. I will not be a light as I would like by Thanksgiving, but I will be able to enjoy all types of food and not erase all the work I have done so far.

The Election is Over!
Now that the election is over, we can get back to our lives. I voted early on Friday and watched only channels that didn't have political adds or, in most cases, read a book while listening to Internet radio - Pandora.
Ended up skipping lunch as I wasn't hungry. By the time dinner rolled around, I was famished. Had a Subway salad and some of my home made chili. Finished it up with a few string cheeses.
I ran down to Sedalia, MO to get some Qwest bars from GNC. Problem was that they don't sell individuals. I am not going to pay $30+ for a case of one kind. May have to go back to the Atkins's bars for snacks.
Found a great deal on almond flour for my blueberry muffin recipe that I plan to try this weekend. A nice young lady here at work sells free range eggs so I put the order in for 2 dozen to take home. I may even get to try the recipe for wheat less bread I have been talking about. If any of the recipes I try taste good, I'll post them. I'm not really missing these types of food, but I'm hoping the family likes them.
I got in a good round of Slow Burn and a nice soak in the hot tub. All the while not watching the election coverage. Checked out the winners/losers this morning. Not much of a surprise. Only thing that upset me was I had no shampoo when I wanted to shower. Had to get dressed and go to the front desk to get some. Housekeeping took the one that I left in the shower and didn't replace it. I'll check when I get back this evening. Man, I'm in a crappy mood this morning.

Voting? Nope, I got that out of the way on Friday
Will be doing anything but watching the voting predictions today. I have a lot of reading to do:
Good Calories, Bad Calories & The Story
Good Calories, Bad Calories reads like a textbook. Great information, but I can only read for about 30 minutes at a time.
The Story is being discussed at my church every Sunday, chapter by chapter. I have enough time on my hands and should be caught up. If I get my butt in gear, I'll finish it this week and will only have to skim the chapter we discuss each week.
For breakfast, I am targeting 2-3 eggs with breakfast meats and cheese. Beverages of choice is coffee & water. Lunch is hard as I am usually not at all hungry. I do need to have something around 3ish. Looking at picking up a few Quest bars tonight. My boss will be here tomorrow so I will be going out to lunch with him the remainder of the week. The bars will help during the weekend and the next week.
I find keeping a bottle of water with me at work helps quite a bit. Goal of not being thirsty has had a side benefit of me not getting hungry at lunchtime.
My iPod cord is not working. It will charge, but not sync with iTunes. Will get a new cord during lunch to see it the cord is the problem. It was the solution the last time I had this issue.
After work I will drive to a nearby town to pick up my Quest bars. I will look for a place that sells almond flour for a new recipe for blueberry muffins I found. Hope to get both the muffins and bread made this weekend. Anyone know where I can find coconut butter?

Start of a Great Sunday
Good night sleep. Slept in until 7:30am - which was like 8:30am as we turned our clocks back 1 hour. Now to get to 9:00am church and the rest of the day is mine. I would like to try a recipe for wheat-less bread. May need to get eggs.
For breakfast I tried a spinach & cheese omlette. I know that spinich is a good source of vitamines & minerals. I dumped on lots of cheese, but it didn't help. I hate the taste of cooked spinach. I'll stick to eating it raw in a salad. I have some tomato basil feta cheese to add this afternoon.
I hope to head to a GNC in order to get some more Qwest Bars. They may be my lunch and late night snack for many months.
Weight this morning was 189.0lbs!!!! I'm back on track.

Dinner tonight was chicken wings at DJ's Dugout. It was a great night to get out with the LOML & Daughter #2. Great football to watch as well. Notre Dame won, Huskers had another come from behind, and now it looks like #1 Alabama is going to lost to LSU.
Going to weigh in tomorrow morning. If I get the chance, I'll update my measurements as well.

Started the weekend off great. No cheating on food. This morning the Love Of My Life (LOML) talked me into going for a walk (29 degrees) for a cup of coffee from Scooters. I love my Breve with sugar free caramel. The walk for for about a mile and i enjoyed getting outside and talking with my wife.
I have a recipe for weatless bread that I would like to try out. The LOML will have to get in a better mood before I destroy her kitchen.
Big thrill yesterday. The free Quest bars came in. I requested them about 6 months ago and they finally showed up. Cinnamon Roll and Brownie were sent. I have to say they were exceptionally good. I will have to find out where I can go and get some more. They will make a great snack while at work.

Dinner was a salad from Subway. Love the BMT!!! Not many calories, but very tasty. To get full I drank a couple of bottles of water.
Did a little Slow Burn workout before hitting the hot tub. It really helps to sweat out the lactic acid before going to bed. I felt it in the legs climbing stairs this morning.
Don't know why, but I watched Monday Night Football to the end. Pretty much a runaway for San Fran. Hey, any football is better than no football. I will not be able to watch the Thursday night game; the hotel doesn't carry the NFL Network.
This morning I did 10 Ranger Push ups and had a great breakfast at my favorite local diner: the Apple Basket in Macon, MO. I enjoy sitting down and they bring me what I want without asking. coffee, 2 eggs over easy, bacon, & sausage. Chances are I will not be hungry come lunch time. I may pick up a salad from Subway for dinner.
Will get plenty of water this week - hope to get the plumbing back in working order. I still do not know if fiber is the answer. The more I investigate, the more diverse opinions I find. Anybody want to throw their 2 cents in?

Back on the road again. Had a very nice breakfast with my child bride: 3 egg omelet w/sausage, onion, pepper, & cheese. Washed it down with coffee. After a pit stop, I got a bottle of water.
Lunchtime came and went. Wasn't hungry so I passed. I think I'll hit Subway for a BMT salad for dinner.
Really have to get myself to the exercise mode. Slow Burn arms, legs, and stomach.
Any encouragement out there?

Couldn't take the Dodge Avenger for another week. Went to Enterprise and got a Jeep Liberty for this week. May keep it until Thanksgiving break. I kinda like driving a big box on wheels.
Good dinner last night at Culvers: Double Bacon Deluxe (no bun) with Broccoli Cheese Soup.
Breakfast was 1 egg and 2 sausage patties. Sat on my butt for most of the morning.
Lunch was some pork rinds and cheese salsa sauce. I am going to try to talk the family into going to a sit down restaurant for dinner tonight. If not, I still have some baby spinach leaves left. I can drench in dressing and shredded Parmesan cheese.
I didn't weight in this morning as I haven't gone #2 in about 3 days. I am going to up my fiber intake (powder) this weekend and see if that helps. I know I should drink lots of water, but then I spend a lot of time going #1. Tonight we are going the the High School performance of Frankenstein and I want to be able to sit through the whole thing.
Just finishes the last 2 pieces of trim on my daughters room. It looks fantastic. Hope the wife doesn't have anymore projects for awhile.
Currently I am watching the Badger football game as the Husker game will be on when I'm at the High School Play. I'll see if I can talk my Bro-in-law to text me score updates.

Last night I had a bone in ribeye steak cooked in butter with mushrooms and onions also cooked in butter. Drank lots of water as I used garlic liberally.
No exercise as I didn't get to check in until 7:30pm and not done shopping/cooking until 8:30.
This morning, breakfast was a grande breve latte.
Lunch will be with my boss so I'll have to go to a "decent" restaurant. Hard to find a decent restaurantt in Marshall. OK, there are a few. Will followup later on today (maybe).

Hit the road again today. Breakfast was a venti Breve latte with sugar free caramel. Lunch was a salad at subway. They will take any of their sandwiches and make a salad out of it. I went with the BMT with spinach leaves, black olives, banana peppers, shredded cheese, and their Southwest sauce. Filled me right up.
I am spending the two nights in Columbia, MO in a hotel that has a full kitchen in each room. Will be cooking my own dinner both nights. There is a nice grocery store within walking distance. Hoping for a nice lamb chop or two.
Gotta get back into the Slow Burn exercise: push ups, squats, and sit ups. I was on the right track until I spent a week at home watching the kids while the love of my life went to Dallas to visit her brother. Fell off the wagon big time, but no more. Will be interested in where I am at by Thanksgiving.

I have to admit that I have been very bad at blogging lately. I'll try to do better.
My weight was down to 188 last week. Spent 6 days at home (working Thur, Fri, Mon, & Tues from home).
Cheated big time on my diet. Back on the horse tomorrow. After I get the kids to school, I'll pick up the rental car and then pick up the wife who had a long weekend in Dallas with her brother's family.
Watched the final Presidential Debate. Not much from Romney and Obama was fairly childish in his remarks. We'll see in a couple weeks.

Football by Gamecast
The Green Bay Packers vs. the Chicago Bears and I have to watch the game via ESPN on their graphic gamecast. Takes too long to update with the hotel internet. The game is on the NFL Network which the hotel does not have. I'd go to a bar to watch, but they would expect me to drink and I'll save my drinking for the weekend.
I have been doing pretty well with LCHF. Breakfast was an sausage, mushroom, and cheese omelet. For lunch I took my group out for lunch and had a firehouse burger without the bun. There was some breading on the jalopinos, but other than that, not bad. Dinner was the rest of the summer sausage. Maybe a fat bomb before bed. Getting ready for a little Slow Burn during half-time.
I picked up some probiotics, accuflora. I'll give it a try for a couple of weeks (until the bottle runs out). Hope it will unclog and reduce my baby belly.

Gotta get this thing started
OK back up to 194lbs. Time to get serious and quit cheating. With all that went on this weekend, its a miracle that I only gained 1/2lb. The block party on Friday followed by my company picnic on Saturday. Yes I cheated outrageously. I need to focus on accomplishing my goals before I cheat on special occasions. I do not want to be a diet nazi, life is a journey.
Made Fat Bombs on Sunday and has 3 for dinner last night. Breakfast will be bacon, sausage, and eggs at a Bloomfields Family Restaurant. For lunch, back to the Fat Bombs.
If I remember, I'll check my measurements and post them.

Worst weekend for diet. Great for fun.
Bad weekend. Block party with lots of refined carbs (beer). Then watching 6 young ladies while the Mom's have a night out. Pizza and treats. Sunday had better go better of I'll have to go back to the fat(ter) pants.

In Moberly, MO
I was hoping to find a large buffet with many LCHF options. My GPS showed a Golden Corral, but when I drove there, it was out of business. Had to settle for steak house: 10oz rib-eye and a Cesar salad (poor me). Spent the rest of the evening playing Warlords, Battle-cry III.
Had my regular breakfast at the Apple Basket, 2 eggs, bacon, and sausage. Probably need to add some more fat, maybe smuggle in some butter to put on my eggs.
For lunch today I tried a new place in downtown Macon. It was a bar with a lunch menu. I had the steak salad with blue cheese dressing. Very little salad, but quite a bit a steak. The only downside was that smoking was allowed. Will probably not go back.
Tonight's meal will be LCHF snacks and water. I didn't realize how thirsty I was until I was almost through with the 1st bottle. Will do my slow burn exercise routine and then hit the hot tub.
Hey, if you read this, please leave a comment.
Thanks,
Kenn

I enjoyed Labor Day weekend. Plenty of beer and good food on the grill. Not much exercise and the weight jumped up to 193.4lbs. A short week on the road, but I will be total low carb and do a little exercise.
Found a great beer: 5 o'clock shadow. Picked up a bottle to split with my bro-in-law, Tim. It is a specialty, reserve brew and I will have to pick up another bottle on the way home Friday.

Great results on measurements. All went down with the exception on my biceps (witch ain't all bad).
Weight went from 193 to 191.4. It helped a great deal that I stuck to the diet through the weekend and the Monday I took off.
For dinner tonight I got a bag of Ceasar Salad. I added a ton of shredded Parmesan cheese and real bacon bits.
For desert, I have guacamole and pork rinds, if I feel hungry later tonight.
